If you are looking for a special experience then can I suggest that you visit the beautiful Crystal Castle just outside of Mullumbimby, and a 15-20 minute drive from Byron Bay.
The Crystal Castle is a unique experience – a blend of uniquely crafted Asian style gardens featuring a 14 ton Buddha, a unique global-products store and a delightful cafe overlooking a magnificent mountain vista.
The Buddha Walk, as it is known ,is very special. A calming visual treat, where photo opportunities abound. Children will be thrilled with all the fairies and twinkling crystals that can be found. At Byron Bay Highway Interchange go straight through roundabout and over overpass. Immediately turn right onto Myocum Road (do not swing left or you will be on the highway again). After 12 kms turn left onto Coolamon Scenic Drive. Travel up hill 3.8 kms and turn Right at the top of the ridge onto Goonengerry Road. After 0.6 kms turn Right onto Monet Drive.Relax at the Lotus cafe overlooking the breathtaking views of the hinterland.
