Byron Bay Markets
The famous and highly eclectic market in Byron Bay is held the first Sunday of every month, at the Butler Street Reserve, corner of Butler and Sommerset Street. However, we also have markets on every Sunday of the month including The Channon Market, which is via Lismore and on the 2nd Sunday of the month, and the Bangalow Market which is about 10 mins from Byron at the Bangalow Show grounds on the 4th Sunday of the month. Brunswick Heads and Ocean Shores also have markets as well – see below.
The markets strive to maintain a good content from local artisans. There are stunningly colourful goods from around the world too, however, the pick of the markets would definitely be the great items made by locals. There are also fabulous nursery outlets here – believe me you can buy just about any plant at wholesale price.
Byron Bay market also has the YUM FACTOR that is lots of great food and produce. Go early and have breakfast and say for lunch is the best idea. Plenty of local coffee as well. Produce is all fresh, and extra delicious. Grown locally it offers the consumer taste, and low food miles.
The massage therapists at the market are also fantastic, with people travelling for up to 4 hours to come to their favourite foot therapist! have a full body massage, or just get your sore bits worked on.
Children have a lot to do at the markets too! Lots of face painting, or great costumes to parade around in.

Our farmers markets in the Butler Street reserve on every Thursday morning is a treat! You can buy everything to eat there from organic, fresh, meat to all your daily greens. Wonderful breads, eggs and other delicious edibles. Go prepared with your own shopping bags.
