HOW TO GET HERE
ARRIVING BY PLANE – the closest airports are either the Gold Coast/Coolangatta International airport, which is about 40 mins North of Byron Bay on the Pacific Highway, or Ballina Domestic aiport, which is 35 mins south of Byron Bay on the Pacific Highway. On the Gold Coast you can fly in via Jetstar or Virgin, which are the main airlines. Tiger and Freedom also have services coming in from Overseas. In Ballina you can fly Jetstar and Virgin as well. Lismore has Rex flights. Lismore is 45 minutes away to the South West of Byron Bay. You can pick up hire cars at either airport, and you can book on line at www.bookhirecars.com.au. Also there are plenty of bus transfer companies running out of both of these airports. The main international aiport is BRISBANE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT – which is 1.5 hours drive North of Byron Bay.

BY BUS – Greyhound and Kirklands run regular buses on a daily basis into Byron Bay.
BY TRAIN – the train from Sydney stops at Casino and the last leg is completed by bus. The timetable changes, so best to check with NSW Rails.
BY CAR – you can drive from Sydney in 10 to 12 hours, or from Brisbane in 1.5 to 2 hours.
